                    The Journey

Cold is the night; the journey long,

Slowly and steadily I trudge along.

Left behind life’s comfort and fun,

To write the destiny I so much yearn.

Unknown is the fate of my journey,

And hidden are the perils and the pitfalls.

I will stumble and fall I might,

But He will pull me through the night.

Then one day the sun will glimmer,

Awaken new hopes and a dormant dreamer.

With shivering hands I will hold the quill,

And write the destiny I seek, I will.

I don't know why, but it makes me think of the dawn of a new day, a fresh start, and eve of the ay nature always looks 'cleaner' after a heavy rain.
Your poems keep taking me other places !

Thank you, but you shouldn't : you're the one that created this feeling in me through your poem.
I'll be around...
