Dreams tiptoed away silently,
And hope turned its back on me.
When you walked out through the door,
Leaving me crumbled on the floor.
Now, it’s just me and my tears;
A heart latched on memories of bygone years.
The birds dance; the leaves flutter.
But all my heart yearns,
Is the kiss of the Reaper.
For Death will liberate me,
From this pain and agony.
Then on the day of Salvation,
I shall find my true love. Amen!
And hope turned its back on me.
When you walked out through the door,
Leaving me crumbled on the floor.
Now, it’s just me and my tears;
A heart latched on memories of bygone years.
The birds dance; the leaves flutter.
But all my heart yearns,
Is the kiss of the Reaper.
For Death will liberate me,
From this pain and agony.
Then on the day of Salvation,
I shall find my true love. Amen!
